Interview with Co-CEO Jimmy Frey
What is it like to work at TRI-MATIC? TRI-MATIC employees talk about their experiences in short interviews. We are pleased to introduce Co-CEO Jimmy Frey in more detail. Jimmy gives an insight into the time and diverse developments at TRI-MATIC. Take a look at his story! Roll the film!
1. What do you do at TRI-MATIC?
I joined TRI-MATIC in 2010 as a technical customer advisor for French-speaking Switzerland and since January 2022 I've been Co-CEO. I'd say that this role is pretty easy to take on, because we have highly motivated, high-performance teams.
2. Why did you choose TRI-MATIC?
As I had worked for several companies in the past where people were not the focus, I wanted to join a family business where it is precisely the employees who are really valued. In addition, I had a purely technical education and also wanted to orient myself more towards the commercial side, and TRI-MATIC in particular gave me my chance.
3. What do you like best about your work?
That is a question that is not always easy to answer. The feeling of being part of a team, a real team that sticks together. And of course, that our customers are satisfied with the service we provide every day. I really appreciate it when my teams flourish in their daily tasks.
4. Hünenberg or Yverdon?
I work at both locations, but live in the canton of Fribourg.
5. Meat, fish or vegetables?
I am happy about all three, but only if the quality is right. I try to implement this philosophy of quality over quantity every day, also in other areas, including TRI-MATIC.
6. Netflix, Instagram or newspaper?
In fact, I use all three ways of delivering information, but I think the challenge for many people is to control their consumption, because it can be very inspiring if you use it properly, but counterproductive if you overdo it.
7. Run a marathon or chill on the beach?
At first glance it doesn't look like it, but I have run a marathon before. That was a long time ago and I enjoyed it, but never again, it's too much for me. I'm rather sporty by nature, I like to go for walks in the forest with my family, I'm rather active. I also like to chill on the beach, but as I have two little girls aged 7 and 5, chilling on the beach never lasts very long.
8. What are your personal goals for the future?
To continue this great adventure with TRI-MATIC. To push the teams to do their best every day so that TRI-MATIC can continue to grow in the future. More personally, to actually see my children grow up healthy and enjoy life in general with them.
