Ball valves made of high-quality stainless steel
Ball valves are installed wherever processes or pipes in industry, heating systems, central solar heating, solar systems or domestic installations have to be shut off or diverted. In most cases, the media are liquids or gases.
For applications in the food and drinking water sector or in the chemical or pharmaceutical industry, high demands are placed on the pipe parts that come into contact with the medium. Where the material must not react or oxidise with the medium, ball valves made of stainless steel are the right choice, such as with aggressive liquids or gases. For neutral media, ball valves made of brass can often be used without further ado, and for highly concentrated acids, ball valves made of plastics such as PVC or PP.
Stainless steel ball valves can be used in a wide variety of applications: as shut-off valves in the food industry in a low dead space design, as ball valves with weld-on ends or with threaded ends in apparatus and pipeline construction, or as ball valves with TRI-CLAMP connections in the food, chemical or pharmaceutical industries.
Body, ball and control shaft are made of high-quality, corrosion-resistant, stainless steel 1.4408. On customer request, we supply a 3.1 material test certificate for the stainless steel ball valves or an FDA certificate for the sealing materials used.
Ball valves made of stainless steel or in other materials such as brass or plastic can be automated with pneumatic or electric actuators and thus integrated into complex systems. In this way, processes can be automated and centrally controlled. Contact our experts for comprehensive advice either by phone on +41 (0)41 780 22 22 or write to us at info@tri-matic.ch.
