3-way valves with T-bore or L-bore

Multi-way valves are used in pneumatics or hydraulics to block the path of the gas or fluid or to change the direction of flow of the medium. In contrast to a 2-way valve, a 3-way valve not only allows the flow of the medium to be completely prevented. The 3-way valve can also control another line by switching over and thus distribute or divert the gas or liquid.

3-way valves are available in two versions: With a T-bore or an L-bore. Ball valves are usually used with an L-bore in the ball. With the L-bore, the medium can be separated into two lines or joined from two separate lines.

Many different switching and problem situations are solved by 3-way valves with a T-bore in the ball, as the overview below shows:

3-way valves are available in different materials such as stainless steel, brass or plastic or with different connections such as internal thread, weld-on or adhesive ends.

For the food, chemical or pharmaceutical sector, there are 3-way valves with TRI-CLAMP clamp connections according to DIN, ISO or BS/OD standards and milk pipe connections according to DIN11851 or SMS.

With pneumatic or electric actuators, 3-way valves can be automated and thus integrated into complex systems. In this way, processes can be automated and centrally controlled. Contact our experts for comprehensive advice either by phone on +41 (0)41 780 22 22 or write to us at info@tri-matic.ch.
