One-way flow control valves for unidirectional throttling of media

One-way flow control valves restrict the flow of gases or liquids in one direction and allow the medium to flow unrestricted in the other direction. One-way flow control valves are mainly used in fluid technology.

One-way flow control valves consist of two valve types in one housing. The check valve blocks the flow in one direction. The throttle valve reduces the flow and allows manual adjustment. If the medium now flows through the valve, it is throttled or can flow through unhindered, depending on the design and connection.

The switching symbol of a throttle check valve:

[Translate to English:] Schaltsymbol eines Drosselrückschlagventils

One-way flow control valves are used in pneumatics and hydraulics to regulate the speed of movement of cylinders. In pneumatic cylinders, the outflowing compressed air exits the cylinder via the throttle, while the compressed air flows in on the inlet side without throttling.

All different variants of bidirectional throttle valves or unidirectional throttle check valves are assembled by TRI-MATIC at our site in Hünenberg/ZG. Whether you want the "V" version for use with valves or the "Z" version for mounting on pneumatic cylinders, TRI-MATIC has pressure connections from M5 to G1/4" in its range. Various connection types such as hose connection, quick connector or internal thread are available. Various spindle types for regulating the flow complete the divers product range.

FAQs

How does a throttle check valve work?

The throttle check valve restricts the flow of gases or liquids in one direction. The check valve blocks the full flow of the medium and thus the gas or liquid must flow over the adjustable restriction. In the opposite direction, the non-return valve opens and allows the medium to flow through unhindered.

What is the difference between a throttle check valve and a flow control valve?

Throttle valves are bidirectional and restrict the flow of gases or liquids in both directions. Throttle check valves, however, restrict the flow in one direction only and allow the medium to flow unimpeded in the opposite direction.
