Strainers

Liquids and gases flowing in pipelines always contain impurities. Strainers - sometimes also called inclined filters - filter out solid particles and impurities in the medium flow and protect system-relevant components of a pipeline from clogging and damage.

Strainers are therefore installed at critical points in a pipeline to retain the impurities. The filter media are usually perforated plates, wire mesh or fine-pored sintered filters. Strainers can also be installed temporarily between flanges during the construction phase or at system start-up. They are available from TRI-MATIC in Y-shape.
