What does sub-assembly involve at TRI-MATIC?
Assembly involves more than simply putting individual parts together. As an experienced assembly manufacturer, TRI-MATIC covers the entire value-added process – from development through to procurement and manufacture, right through to documented final inspection.
Development and Engineering
Your requirements are translated into a production-ready solution. The engineering team works with SolidWorks CAD to create 3D models, assembly drawings and bills of materials – all tailored to your specific application.
Procurement and Materials Management
TRI-MATIC procures all components – from ball valves and actuators to seals and special materials. You receive everything from a single source, without having to coordinate dozens of suppliers.
Manufacturing and Assembly
Every assembly is manufactured at our own facility in Switzerland. Whether it is a pneumatic control cabinet, a valve manifold or an automated valve combination – the production of bespoke assemblies follows defined processes with traceable quality.
Testing and Documentation
Before dispatch, every assembly undergoes a full functional and pressure test. The documentation includes test reports, material certificates (3.1) and, where required, declarations of conformity in accordance with PED or ATEX.
From concept to series production – the manufacturing process in six steps
Developing assemblies means taking a systematic approach. This structured process ensures that your assembly performs exactly as required by the application – and does so consistently in every production run.
Together, we clarify the function, media, pressures, temperatures and regulatory requirements. Your specification or an existing data sheet is sufficient as a starting point.
Our engineers create the design in SolidWorks – including a 3D model, bill of materials and production-ready drawings. Materials and components are specified.
An initial prototype is manufactured in-house and thoroughly tested. This allows you to determine at an early stage whether the solution meets your expectations.
You test the prototype in your application. Any changes are incorporated directly into the design. Once you have given your approval, series production can begin.
Assembly production is carried out to a consistent standard of quality – whether it’s a small batch of ten units or a large-scale production run of several hundred to a thousand units per year.
The finished assemblies are delivered on time. On request, this can also be arranged as a framework contract with flexible call-offs in line with your production schedule.

Each assembly is configured precisely to your specifications: nominal diameters from DN6 to DN50, pressure ratings from PN6 to PN63, materials in brass or 316/316L stainless steel – including special seals and customer-specific marking.

From a batch size of one. We manufacture individual items and prototypes as well as small and large production runs ranging from several hundred to several thousand units per year. Assembly becomes particularly cost-effective for recurring orders – for example, as a framework contract with flexible call-off options.
