The proportional precision pressure regulators are used to precisely control the pressure in a pneumatic system in the industrial sector. They are used wherever the pressure must be kept constant regardless of the flow rate. The pressure values can vary depending on the input signal. The resulting flow rate or pressure is proportional to the change in the input signal. For example, an increase in the input signal results in an increase in pressure or vice versa. The pressure control takes place in a closed circuit. An electronic precision sensor monitors the pressure value at the output of the regulator, compares it with the input signal and continuously adjusts the pressure if necessary.

The main body of the Syntronic proportional precision pressure regulator is made of technopolymer. It has interchangeable 1/8 inch, 1/4 inch or 3/8 inch threaded connection sockets made of nickel-plated brass. The Syntronic proportional precision pressure regulator with the 3/8’ threaded connection socket achieves a very high maximum flow rate of up to 2800 Nl/min.
The robust, aluminium centre section contains two rolling diaphragms. The rolling diaphragms offer two enormous advantages: A larger stroke, allowing a larger valve opening, and a high flow rate with excellent dynamic behaviour, reducing sliding and inrush friction.
The control electronics are well protected in the technopolymer housing and are available with an integrated 7-segment LED display. The pressure and other important information can be shown and called up on the display. The proportional precision regulator is connected to a remote control via a cable connection with an M12x1 plug and controlled with a volt or mA current signal.
When the inlet pressure is set to zero, the proportional precision pressure regulator can vent excess pressure on the secondary side. This enables the regulator to be positioned between a valve and a cylinder on the one hand and a bidirectional air flow on the other. This allows the air to flow in both directions, to the cylinder with regulated pressure and back to the valve.
