Assembly distribution board
A machine tool manufacturer wants to save assembly time internally and has the distribution board assembly manufactured by TRI-MATIC.
Challenge
A manufacturer of high-performance machine tools designs the value chain as efficiently as possible and therefore relies on lean production. To save assembly time, sub-assemblies are created externally. The assembly quality must be guaranteed perfectly at all times with mechanical restrictions due to the limited space in the machine. At the same time, manufacturing costs must be reduced.
Application
The assembly distributes a water-oil mixture to the various tools of the machine. With the minimum flow rate and the defined space ratio, two crucial specifications had to be met to ensure perfect machining.
Solution
Hand in hand with the customer, TRI-MATIC engineering has developed a solution that meets the high-quality requirements. The assembly consists of a brass manifold block, two aluminium Fast-Air coaxial pneumatic valves, a 3-way pneumatic valve and two hand valves in brass. Before delivery, our technicians check the manifold for possible leaks. The customer only has to connect the tested assembly to the designated places in the machine.
