Over 30 years of cooperation in the field of butterfly valves and valves for the installation of fire-fighting equipment
Feumotech and TRI-MATIC have been working together for over 30 years to install the extinguishing technology for the powerful fire engines. The vehicles are used for everything from small firefighting operations to major incidents, whether for firefighting, water transport or water supply. The pneumatic butterfly valves enable the large 9000 litre water tank to be filled.

Feumotech AG has been a reliable partner for fire-fighting vehicles and motorised fire-fighting technology for more than 35 years. During this time, Feumotech AG has manufactured and delivered over 1100 customised fire-fighting vehicles. Quality, high-quality work and reliable technology are our top priorities.
Which components did TRI-MATIC supply Feumotech with for the projects?
TRI-MATIC has been able to supply Feumotech with pneumatic butterfly valves, pneumatically and electrically driven ball valves, non-return valves, strainers and other components for the fire-fighting installation of fire-fighting vehicles for over 30 years.
TRI-MATIC delivers punctually and reliably. This reliability is what makes the long-standing collaboration between our companies so valuable.
Where are TRI-MATIC components used?
TRI-MATIC components are used in all Feumotech fire-fighting vehicles. For example, they are used in the 32-tonne four-axle SCANIA base vehicle with dimensions of 11.16m x 2.54m x 3.3m. The equipment of the four-axle vehicle includes the following materials: water cannons, breathing apparatus, fans, traffic material, material for firefighting and for use in the event of natural disasters and pioneer material.
Why are Feumotech AG vehicles so special for firefighting operations?
The powerful fire engines have a water tank of 9000 litres, a water cannon output of 2000 l/min and a pump output of 6000 l/min at 10 bar. The vehicles are used for everything from small firefighting operations to major incidents, whether for firefighting, water transport or water supply. The pneumatic shut-off valves allow the large water tank to be filled and the additional valves allow the 9000 litres of water to be released quickly and precisely in the event of a fire.
The outlets are located on the sides of the vehicle and are electrically controlled with electric drives. The water cannon is mounted on the front of the cab roof, which provides a long range when extinguishing fires. With a capacity of 2000 l/min, the water cannon can deliver a considerable amount of water to the source of a fire.
Up to 6 firefighters can be deployed on these vehicles, among others at the end customer ECA Vaud, the building insurance company of the canton of Vaud, in the Nyon, Aigle and Yverdon regions.
What makes our long-standing collaboration so special?
For Heiner Burkhard, Head of Design and Production, one thing is clear: “TRI-MATIC delivers punctually and reliably. This reliability is what makes the long-standing collaboration between our companies so valuable.”
