Maximum protection for your machine thanks to JJ electric actuators with electronic torque limiter (ETL)

The TRI-MOTOR JJ electric actuator with an electronic torque limiter (ETL) continuously monitors the torque of the valve during operation and automatically switches off the actuator if the maximum torque is exceeded.

Valves and shut-off devices in plants and plant components can be automated using electric rotary actuators. Regulation and control are thus possible at any time and over long distances.

With the electrical automation of butterfly valves and ball valves, the valve can be blocked by solids or foreign bodies that are mistakenly in the medium. In some cases, the crystallisation or hardening of the medium also leads to a blockage of the ball valve or butterfly valve. The resulting malfunctions cause high costs for troubleshooting and their elimination. Malfunctions detected too late can lead to a complete failure of the valve. Production downtimes and urgent repairs are then very costly.

Use the TRI-MOTOR JJ electric drives, which are all equipped with an electronic torque limiter (ETL) as standard. This means that the electric rotary drive will not be damaged by any blockage or excessive torque. This guarantees maximum safety and protects against long downtimes. Benefit from reliable protection of your machine and machine parts thanks to TRI-MOTOR JJ electric drives with electronic torque limiter (ETL).

This system constantly monitors the torque of the valve during operation and automatically switches off the drive when the maximum torque is exceeded. Thanks to the switch-off, the motor or the gearbox is not damaged and damage to the system is prevented. The LED display on the actuator signals that the torque has been exceeded with a flashing sequence. For more information, see the instructions for J4C drives: With battery safety package BSR or with digital positioning system DPS2017.
However, should you ever find yourself in a situation where you need to remove a foreign object from a fitting and reset a torque limiter, we will be happy to show you how this works in the video.

First check the fitting and remove any solid or foreign matter. By disconnecting and reconnecting the electrical connection, you then reset the torque limiter. The rotary actuator will then move to the desired position.
