Employee interview with Vanessa Frey

What is it like to work at TRI-MATIC? TRI-MATIC employees talk about their experiences in short interviews. We have asked Vanessa Frey eight questions. Vanessa has been looking after our customers in French-speaking Switzerland as an Account Manager since January 2023. Take a look at her story! Roll the film!

1. What do you do at TRI-MATIC?

I stopped working for 5 years to look after my two daughters. In January 2023, I joined TRI-MATIC as Account Manager, which involves orders, quotations and advising customers.

2. Why did you choose TRI-MATIC?

I chose TRI-MATIC because it's an innovative company with very good customer advice. What I particularly like about this company is its family spirit.

3. What do you like best about your work?

What I like most about my job is the multitude of skills. I have to acquire and to meet the demands of the job. As Coluche rightly said: "Life will throw stones in your path, it's up to you to decide whether to turn them into a wall or a bridge".

4. Hünenberg or Yverdon?

Yverdon, because in fact I haven't lived very far from Yverdon in the canton of Fribourg near Estavayer for 6 years.

5. Meat, fish or vegetables?

I like all three, although it's true that I have a preference for meat. I really enjoy vegetables, because we have a lot of local market gardeners in the cantons of Fribourg and Vaud.

6. Netflix, Instagram or newspaper?

I enjoy all three, but I think I have a slight preference for Netflix, which is very entertaining.

7. Run a marathon or chill on the beach?

I have to admit that a marathon is too tough and long for me. So what I've decided, is to go for a trail run instead. I've got a trail planned for the end of the year, so we'll see, maybe it's as hard as a marathon, but I will tell you that later. Chilling at the beach, yes indeed chilling at the beach is always a pleasure, especially as I can see my kids having fun with next to nothing.

8. What are your personal goals for the future?

Professionally, I've discovered a close-knit and adorable team with whom I'm learning a great deal and who I will be giving a lot to in the future. Personally, what I want is to give my daughters a solid foundation, so that they can live as serene as possible.
